Two of the biggest skills used in life are arguably argumentation (debate) and oral presentation (public speaking). Intro to Congressional Debate will focus on developing these two skills while also learning more about the legislative processes that are encompassed in the U.S. Congress. This class will prepare students for the many future challenges in life that can be solved through debate and speech and will help if students plan to argue or speak sometime in their lives -- yes, that means most people :).
